Principles of the product effects based on current scientific knowledge:
Luthein and zaexanthin are substances similar to beta-caroten, which are stored by blood vessels of macula lutea – they work as antioxidants protecting the eye from free radicals and also work as an UV-filter, which protects the macula against damages.
Blueberry extract contains a high concentration of bioflavonoids called anthocyanozids. It improves regeneration of an optical pigment known as rhodopsin, which is liable for night vision. It strenghtens the capillary walls. As a result of its effects it prevents retina from bleeding. Both substances work together as an effective protection of retina.
Ginko biloba is a plant, leaves of which are full of active substances, especially flavonoids, organic acids, fenolic substances and other. Due to these substances it has a positive effect on blood perfusion and vessel walls strenghtening (This also positively influences memory and other brain functions). Because of its antioxidative effects it supresses spreading of changes connected with aging.
Grape seeds extract contains large amount of bioflavonoids which are effective in body protection, especially brain cells. Bioflavonoids support the activity of vitamin C by strenghtening cell membranes and blood capillars which then become more resistant against damages. Grape seed extract helps to maintain healthy circulation and condition of vessels which leads to increased regeneration of the eye structure.
Quercetin stimulates immunity and weakens allergic reactions. It inhibits releasing of histamin and other allergic mediators and is a strong antioxidant.
Beta-caroten (provitamin A) belongs to antioxidants protecting the organism against UV rays, which are the source of free radicals. In the organism it is transformed to vitamin A, which is necessary for cell protection, regeneration of the skin and has a positive impact on eyesight.
